Great job by Paramedic Benites and EMT Velez along Great job by Paramedic Benites and EMT Velez along with NBFD Eng 7 and NBPSTC on a recent STEMI ( heart attack ) case. Upon crew arrival the patient was complaining of 9/10 chest pain/heaviness x30 minutes with pain radiating down their arm. The crew obtained a 12 lead EKG within 4 minutes of patient contact and identified a STEMI with transmission within 1 minute of obtaining a 12 lead +STEMI. The patient was administered Aspirin with transport initiated within 13 minutes of arrival on scene. Upon arrival at the hospital the patient received definite treatment in the Cath lab within 30 minutes of arrival.

Great work by Senior Paramedic FTO Infante and EMT Great work by Senior Paramedic FTO Infante and EMT Luster on a recent STEMI case. Upon arrival the patient was standing in the doorway complaining of 6/10 chest pain that had been ongoing throughout the day. The patient reported the pain increasing on deep inspiration. The patient had first called his doctor to report the discomfort, who advised him to go to the hospital. The patient had a 100% occlusion of the mid LAD and 100% occlusion of the second diagonal branch.
